Kjetil Haugan is the owner of Haugan Cruises. He is a Norwegian citizen who has lived in Ecuador since 1994. Kjetil has a Graduate degree in Organization Development from England and a undergraduate degree in Management from Norway. Kjetil worked as the director of the Olympic Villages during the Lillehammer (Norway) 1994 and the Atlanta (USA) 1996 Olympic Games. He speaks Spanish, English and the Scandinavian languages.

Jim is British and works with the team in Quito to make sure all those things behind the scenes operate smoothly so that your experience in Galapagos is a memorable one. Jim has extensive international business experience through his prior employments with General Motors and Ernst & Young.

Jessica holds a degree as Engineer in Tourist Business Administration and Management of Protected Areas, currently she manages Haugan Cruises Home Sales department. Jessica has worked in the tourism business since 1996 and in Haugan Cruises since 2001, she is in charge of the Palmazul Artisan Designed Hotel & Spa which is also part of the Columbus Travel Group.

Isabel Studied International Busisness at the Catholic University in Quito.
Lived in Germany, studied at a French School and speaks English, French and
German. She has been in the Tourism Industry for more than 10 years. She is in charge of the Sales Department at Haugan Cruises and will be very glad to help you with availability and rates on our M/C Nina
and M/C Athala.

Bertha has a degree in Ecoturism at Catholic University of Quito. She worked in Tourism for around 6 years in different departments like sales, Reservations and Operations. Now Bertha is in charge of the reservations of our Catamaran´s Nina & Athala and together with our Operations Department of Galapagos coordinate so our guest on board will have a pleasent cruise.

Edwin is a Tourism & Hotelier Specialist. He has had the fortune to have lived and worked in the Galapagos Islands. Through Haugan Cruises, Edwin’s goal is to showcase Galapagos to all our guests with precision, pride and a promise to ensure that your experience in Galapagos is truly extraordinary.

He studied tourism at the Universidad Central del Ecuador. He has been working for the company for 2 and a half years and he is in charge of everything regarding flight reservations and e-ticket emissions.

Paulina graduated at Universidad Central del Ecuador in Ecoturism. She works in the operation department and she is in charge of the land operation and respective arrangements.

Washington is the person that buys tickets and make sure that we receive all the documents for the passangers.

Daniela studied Tourist Administration and has worked in tourism for almost 12 years. She has a vast experience arranging tours in all Ecuador. She speaks English, Spanish and Italian.

Javier is responsible for the Hotel area’s service and quality control on board. For eighteen years has been involved in the Hotel industry and nine on the Galapagos Islands; since mid 2009 working in this young in spirit and solid in professionalism, Haugan Cruises, and forever committed in making certain that our visitors get the best possible there is out of the Galapagos Islands!

Lenin studies at Universidad de Especialidades Turísticas (UCT) and is currently developing a community project to obtain his degree as Engineer in Touristic Administration. He has been working for Haugan Cruises for about 8 months as Operations Assistant. He is in charge of getting the INGALA cards for the crew and passengers and also works in the cruise logistics and checking the itineraries.

Washington graduated from high school in the US and majored in business management and internatinal relations at San Francisco University in Quito. He has lived in the Galapagos Islands for short periods and traveled around Ecuador four regions. He has been involved in the tourism industry for 8 years doing marketing and sales for cruise lines and yacht companies.

Juan is in charge of the corporate image, Web design and advertising of the company. He has a graduate degree in communication and advertising from Universidad de las Americas, and also has coursed studies in New Technologies of Communication at Universidad Andina in Quito. He speaks English and Spanish.

Maria Belen is working for Haugan Cruises for 2 years. She got a degree in Tourist Administration at Universidad de Especialidades Turisticas. She worked for the sales and operation department, but nowadays she coordinates the activities of the Marketing team altogether Washington. She speaks English and is currently studying French.

Andres holds a degree in Computer Engineering, which he obtained in Toronto, Canada. He is in charge of maintaining the equipment and the websites. He speaks English and Spanish fluently.

Jorge is in charge of information technology and ensures the smooth functioning of our computer systems. He also works on the update and revision of our web pages in order to provide our customers the best information available on Galapagos, Ecuador and Peru travel opportunities. He is always willing and will be glad to help you with your technical needs.

Having a Business Administration degree, specialized in Human Resources, Josseth is responsible of the efficient administration and management of the Human Resources area, applying the proper standards that ensure the correct development of the company and finding ways to obtain the best personnel available.

Juan Pablo works with the Operation department.

Gabriela works at Huagan Cruises in the reception area since November 09. She is on her 5th semester of studies to obtain her degree in Tourist Administration from Universidad de Especialidades Turísticas (UCT). She is in charge of greeting the people that comes to our office and to give them any information they require.

Miguel is our "mensajero" , the person that buys tickets and make sure that we receive all the documents for the passangers.

Lucia is the accounting manager of Haugan Cruises. She has 12 years of experience in turism companies in Ecuador. She studied Accounting and Auditing at the Equinoccial Tecnological University of Quito.

Ximena works in the Accounting Department of Haugan Cruises, she is in charge of the payment of reservations and billings. She has been in other similar positions in other companies in the past. She just finished her studies at the University.

Ruben has studied Counting and his function is to control the income of Haugan Cruises

Mayra works in the finance department as an asistance to the department. She has studied ath the Central University of Ecuador, and she has a specialty in Accounting and Auditing.

Janneth works as an accounting assitance and is responsible for making sure all the payments to hotels and restaurants are up to date so that passengers do not have any problem at the time of admission. She has worked for Haugan Cruises since the beginning of the year.

Denisse works for Haugan Cruises one year ago. Her main responsibility is to coordinate the Cost Area. Currently, she is studying Marketing Technology. She works in the Accounting Department.
