Baltra Island: Arrival in Galapagos

Arrival at the airport, pick up and transfer to selected Hotel on Santa Cruz Island, lunch.

Santa Cruz Island: Visit Charles Darwin Research Station

Afternoon pick up from the hotel and visit the Station which is home to tortoises that interact with one another. Older tortoises are accustomed to humans, stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity! At the Tortoise Center, visitors can observe the whole variety of tortoises, including hatchlings, juveniles, and full-grown individuals. You will learn a lot about conservation and natural history with your guide. Return to hotel. Overnight.

Day 2 (B/L/-) Santa Cruz Island: Highlands

Breakfast. Pick up at 10 am and drive by bus for about 45 minutes from Puerto Ayora to the green highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Arrive at the Tortoise Ranch where we will have the opportunity to explore and see many of the famous Galapagos Tortoises in the wild!

Next, we will visit the lava tunnels that were formed as the outer skin of molten lava solidified, and the liquid magma inside continued flowing, leaving behind a series of empty tubes. Visitors can walk through these underground channels, often more than a kilometer in length!

After lunch we will visit The Ecological Trapiche Farm where we will find several cultivated products such as sugar cane, cocoa, and other short-cycle crops, you may also see endemic bird species such as owls and Darwin's finches. You can participate in agricultural activities and in the process of extracting cane juice by applying a rustic and traditional method called "Trapiche".

Days 3 & 4 (B/L/-): Day tour to another island by Yacht

Santa Fe is home to the small picturesque bay and anchorage on the island's northeast coast. The bay has two visitor trails, one leading to a scenic viewpoint atop a cliff, and the other spanning from a small beach to a tall prickly pear cactus forest. Snorkeling is a must, you will see many different fish species and have the opportunity to swim with sea lions. Return to Puerto Ayora in the afternoon.

Bartholomew Island

Navigation Time: 2 Hours 20 minutes
Pick up Time: 6H00

Early in the morning, transfer to Baltra to start our navigable tour to Bartholomew, breakfast on board. One of the Islands´ principal attractions is the “pinnacle rock” To see it properly will make an easy hike for around an hour. In this excursion, you will learn from the volcanic landscape of the island and see different species such as lava lizards or cacti, once we reach the top will have a magnificent view of the Pinnacle rock in contrast with the volcanic landscape blended with the turquoise waters of the surrounding beaches. After the excursion, we will proceed to do snorkeling on one of the coral beaches of the areas where if we are lucky we will see: Marine turtles, sea lions, multicolor fish, and penguins. Lunch will be on board in the afternoon we will return to Puerto Ayora.

Navigation Time: 1 Hour 20 minutes
Pick up Time: 7H30

South Plazas is situated on the east coast of Santa Cruz Island, it’s formed from uplifted marine lava and is one of the smallest islands on the archipelago. This Island despite its size has a lot of concentration of wildlife.

We will disembark on a small dock frequently occupied by sea lions. After this, we will continue through a small forest of prickly pear cacti with their yellow flowers where could be lots of land iguanas waiting for their fruits and flowers to fall off to the ground, to get finally up to the cliff, where you can often see a shoal of the endemic yellow-tailed mullet.

The cliff is excellent to view swallow-tailed gulls, tropic birds, frigate birds, and pelicans, at the eastern end of the island bull sea lions congregate there to rest after losing their territory and recover energy and try to be again the beach master.

After this walk, we go back to the boat for lunch and sail to Punta Carrion for a snorkeling activity where we can see sea turtles, white tip reef sharks, sea lions, and lots of fish, back to Puerto Ayora around 16:30.

Enjoy a navigable tour to North Seymour, a 1.9 km² island located northbound from Baltra. The main fauna species of this island are Land Iguanas, the Magnificent Frigate bird with their incredible scarlet regular pouch, blue-footed boobies, and their particular courtship dance, and sea lions surfing across the waves. Lunch on board. After lunch, we will do snorkeling in Bachas where you will be able to discover tones of different fish species and also swim with sea lions. Return to your hotel.

Return back to Pto Ayora about 4:30 pm, transfer to hotel. Overnight.

Day 5 (B/L/-) Isabela Island: Wetlands, Breeding Center, Tintoreras

Early pick up, and transfer by shared speed boat which leaves 6:20 am for about 2h30 to Isabela Island. Arrival in Isabela, and head to the Wetlands which are located just outside of Puerto Villamil. The Wetlands consist of lagoons, swamps, and mangroves and are home to a variety of unique bird species such as common stilts, whimbrels, white-cheeked pintails, and gallinules. The visit will be continued with a lovely walk across wetlands and opuntia cacti to the toortoise breeding center of the island.

Then we will visit The Wall of Tears, from 1945-1959, a penal colony hosted prisoners who were forced to build this wall, stone by stone, in isolation. This now historical site took the lives of thousands during its construction. Locals claim to hear cries emanating from the heavy energy surrounding the site. Lunch will be served at a Local Restaurant.

The next stop will be at Tintoreras Islets, home to a great variety of wildlife. Its turquoise, crystalline waters are inhabited by white-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos penguins, marine turtles, and sea lions. One of its beaches, surrounded by mangroves is one of the few sites where marine iguanas can reproduce successfully. A delightful place reached by a nice zodiac ride. "Tintoreras" are small islands in front of the Puerto Villamil coast. There is Heron lava on the lookout on the mangrove branch, and Galapagos penguins and sea lions often pop out onshore. White-tipped reef sharks are fairly common. After this visit we will get to the selected hotel about 5pm. Overnight.

Day 6 (B/BL/-) Isabela Island: Cabo Rosa & Tunnels

Breakfast, pick up from hotel. Tour starts either at 8:30 or 11:30 am. The first stop is a small inhabited islet where you can catch sight of pelicans, blue-footed boobies and Nazca Boobies, and, occasionally, sea lions resting on the rocks. Finados is the next stop, where you can swim next to sea turtles, white-tipped sharks, trumpetfish, and surgeon fish. With some luck, eagle and golden rays will come to this site too.

Getting to Los Tuneles will take around 2 hrs. The lava formations that look like tunnels are a marine paradise inhabited by varied endemic Galapagos species. This site is home to sea turtles, albatrosses, flamingos, iguanas, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, royal frigate, manta rays, penguins, sea lions, sea turtles, a variety of birds, lobsters, and sea snakes, among other species. Here you get the chance to do some more snorkeling and enjoy some short walks while observing the landscape and wildlife inhabiting the area. A box lunch will be provided at midday. Guests will be taken back to hotel in the afternoon. Overnight.

Day 7 (B/BL/-) Isabela Island: Sierra Negra Volcano

This tour begins at 7:30 AM. at your hotel in Isabela with the preparation of a box lunch and water, for the walk of about 6 hours and cover a total of 18-kilometers (12 miles).

It will be necessary for passengers to use diking boots or shoes that allow them to perform the walk comfortably, a cap, sunblock which must constantly be applied. Having completed the preparation, at approximately 8: 00 AM the tour begins with approximately 40 minutes by transport until the beginning of the national park where they will start the walk. During the first 2 kilometers, it is possible to experience light rain and varying degree of mud on the track. From this place, the lookout the magnitude of the crater of Sierra Negra Volcano be appreciated.

Continuing the tour, and within 7 kilometers, the climate will be drier and you will be walk-in go volcanic rock up to Volcano Chico, where the lunch will be taken at a picnic area, while we see the magic landscape of the coast of Isabela. From this point, we will return by the same route.

Here the shuttle will be waiting to take us to your hotel.

In the afternoon a visit to Concha de Perla will take place. We will follow a nice wooden pathway. The bay's calm, shallow, clear waters are ideal for observing the incredible array of marine life. Visitors can swim and snorkel alongside tropical fish, sea lions, penguins, and turtles and it is also possible to observe up to 20 bird species. Back to hotel, overnight.

Early pick up 5: 30 am, transfer by shared speed boat from Isabela Island to Santa Cruz Island. Breakfast, and transfer to the Baltra Airport.

The cliff is excellent to view swallow-tailed gulls, tropic birds, frigate birds, and pelicans, at the eastern end of the island bull sea lions congregate there to rest after losing their territory and recover energy and try to be again the beach master.

After this walk, we go back to the boat for lunch and sail to Punta Carrion for a snorkeling activity where we can see sea turtles, white tip reef sharks, sea lions, and lots of fish, back to Puerto Ayora around 16:30.

Enjoy a navigable tour to North Seymour, a 1.9 km² island located northbound from Baltra. The main fauna species of this island are Land Iguanas, the Magnificent Frigate bird with their incredible scarlet regular pouch, blue-footed boobies, and their particular courtship dance, and sea lions surfing across the waves. Lunch on board. After lunch, we will do snorkeling in Bachas where you will be able to discover tones of different fish species and also swim with sea lions. Return to your hotel.

Return back to Pto Ayora about 4:30 pm, transfer to hotel. Overnight.

Day 4 (B/L/-) Santa Cruz Island: Highlands

Breakfast. Pick up at 10 am and drive by bus for about 45 minutes from Puerto Ayora to the green highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Arrive at the Tortoise Ranch where we will have the opportunity to explore and see many of the famous Galapagos Tortoises in the wild!

Next, we will visit the lava tunnels that were formed as the outer skin of molten lava solidified, and the liquid magma inside continued flowing, leaving behind a series of empty tubes. Visitors can walk through these underground channels, often more than a kilometer in length!

After lunch we will visit The Ecological Trapiche Farm where we will find several cultivated products such as sugar cane, cocoa, and other short-cycle crops, you may also see endemic bird species such as owls and Darwin's finches. You can participate in agricultural activities and in the process of extracting cane juice by applying a rustic and traditional method called "Trapiche".

Baltra Island: Arrival in Galapagos

Arrival at the airport, pick up and transfer to selected Hotel on Santa Cruz Island, lunch.

Santa Cruz Island: Visit Charles Darwin Research Station

Afternoon pick up from the hotel and visit the Station which is home to tortoises that interact with one another. Older tortoises are accustomed to humans, stretching out their heads for a photo opportunity! At the Tortoise Center, visitors can observe the whole variety of tortoises, including hatchlings, juveniles, and full-grown individuals. You will learn a lot about conservation and natural history with your guide. Return to hotel. Overnight.

Santa Fe is home to the small picturesque bay and anchorage on the island's northeast coast. The bay has two visitor trails, one leading to a scenic viewpoint atop a cliff, and the other spanning from a small beach to a tall prickly pear cactus forest. Snorkeling is a must, you will see many different fish species and have the opportunity to swim with sea lions. Return to Puerto Ayora in the afternoon.

Early in the morning, transfer to Baltra to start our navigable tour to Bartholomew, breakfast on board. One of the Islands´ principal attractions is the “pinnacle rock” To see it properly will make an easy hike for around an hour. In this excursion, you will learn from the volcanic landscape of the island and see different species such as lava lizards or cacti, once we reach the top will have a magnificent view of the Pinnacle rock in contrast with the volcanic landscape blended with the turquoise waters of the surrounding beaches. After the excursion, we will proceed to do snorkeling on one of the coral beaches of the areas where if we are lucky we will see: Marine turtles, sea lions, multicolor fish, and penguins. Lunch will be on board in the afternoon we will return to Puerto Ayora.

South Plazas is situated on the east coast of Santa Cruz Island, it’s formed from uplifted marine lava and is one of the smallest islands on the archipelago. This Island despite its size has a lot of concentration of wildlife.

We will disembark on a small dock frequently occupied by sea lions. After this, we will continue through a small forest of prickly pear cacti with their yellow flowers where could be lots of land iguanas waiting for their fruits and flowers to fall off to the ground, to get finally up to the cliff, where you can often see a shoal of the endemic yellow-tailed mullet.
